Characteristics of Microseismic Waveforms Induced by Underground Destress Blasting: Comparison With Those Induced by Ground Blasting and Coal Mining

چکیده
Some industrial activities in mines, such as underground coal mining, destress blasting for preventing rockburst, and ground can cause microseismic occurrence. The waveform contains abundant information on the hypocenter propagation path, which is valuable to study mechanism propagation. Therefore, this adopts multifractal detrended fluctuation analysis (MF-DFA) Hilbert–Huang transform (HHT) method nonlinear time–frequency–energy characteristics of different types waveforms. induced by mining has a higher dominant frequency (above 100 Hz) shorter duration (less than 0.5 s) blasting-induced waveforms (dominant below 25 Hz more 3 s). Furthermore, waveforms, characterized rich spectrum, complex energy attenuation, developed coda wave, clear characteristics, indicate that variable. geological environment superposition effect stress are main reasons. Predictions of Experimentally Observed Stochastic Ground Vibrations Induced by Blasting
In the present paper, we investigate the blast induced ground motion recorded at the limestone quarry "Suva Vrela" near Kosjerić, which is located in the western part of Serbia. We examine the recorded signals by means of surrogate data methods and a determinism test, in order to determine whether the recorded ground velocity is stochastic or deterministic in nature. Longitudinal, transversal a...
متن کاملMonitoring underground coal mining - induced subsidence
Monitoring of mine subsidence by means of classical methods such as optical levelling or Global Positioning System (GPS) surveys can reveal deformations with sub-millimetre to subcentimetre precision for localised areas. However, to provide data on a reasonably dense two-dimensional (2D) benchmark grid are costly and time-consuming for all but the smallest areas. Moreover, a regular re-survey o...
متن کاملNumerical Analysis of the Primer Location Effect on Ground Vibration Caused by Blasting
Ground vibration is one of the undesirable results of blasting operations. Different methods have been proposed to predict and control ground vibration that is caused by blasting. These methods can be classified as laboratory studies, fieldwork and numerical modeling. Among these methods, numerical modeling is the one which saves time and cuts costs since it takes into account the basic princip...
متن کاملBreakage and fragmentation modelling for underground production blasting applications
A review of breakage and fragmentation modelling literature has shown that only a few methodologies have been specifically developed for applications in underground production blasting. These approaches however, have applied empirical relations that do not adequately consider ring blasting geometries; have failed to appropriately respond to changes in basic design input parameters; and have pro...
